Ownership of the Website

This website is owned by The Vintage Paint Store and our trading address is 62 Cornwall Road, Sutton, Surrey, SM2 6DS. The Vintage Paint Store fully complies with the Data Protection Act (1998) and under the provisions of that legislation we are not currently required to formally register with the Data Commissioner.

Placing an Order

You are able to purchase products from our website via our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors.

Our acceptance of an order only takes place when we dispatch your order. We will send you a despatch confirmation by email. There are a few instances where we may cancel an order:

a. where goods are no longer available or in stock

b. where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment

c. if we have made a pricing or product description error

Payment

When you shop with The Vintage Paint Store via our website, all your financial transactions are entirely secure, as we only use the online payment service Paypal for card payments. Paypal process the transaction and notify us of authorization.

Paypal accepts the following credit or debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Visa Electron, Solo and Switch cards. Payment will be debited from your account at the time of ordering. Your personal credit card details are not disclosed to us or stored by us.

Prices

All prices are inclusive of VAT but do not include delivery charges and packaging, which is charged separately. Prices and delivery charges may alter at any time but those showing on the site at the time of ordering will be those charged to you. Our delivery charges can be found under our ‘delivery & returns’ section on our website.

Cancellation & Returns

In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your order under the Distance Selling Regulations (2000) you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your order. You must notify The Vintage Paint Store within 14 days of your decision via email at returns@thevintagehomestore.com or by telephone on 07552 936852.

Just return the product(s) in its original packaging for a full refund of the purchase price, excluding any delivery or collection charges. In this instance the cost of returning the product(s) will be borne by the customer. We will refund the purchase price of the product(s) via Paypal to your credit or debit card account upon receiving the product(s) back to us in perfect condition. It is recommended that proof of postage is obtained for any product(s) sent back to us.

Return of Damaged or Faulty Goods

If your order arrives and a product(s) is damaged or faulty in any way please accept our most sincere apologies and notify The Vintage Paint Store as soon as possible via email returns@thevintagepaintstore.com or by telephone on 07552 936852 within 48 hours of receipt. We will advise you on how to return the product(s) and ascertain as to whether you are seeking an exchange or a refund. We may ask for photographic evidence of any breakages for insurance purposes.

Upon receipt of the product(s) and verification of the damage or fault, The Vintage Paint Store will either refund the full purchase price or send you a replacement product(s) depending upon your instructions and the availability of the product(s). In either case we will refund the return postage costs, unless we arranged for collection of the product(s).

The ‘The Vintage Paint Store’ website and its contents are the property of ‘The Vintage Paint Store’. The website has been designed for the display and sale of goods to the general public, together with the provision of information about those goods, and the development and activities of ‘The Vintage Paint Store’. Any other unauthorised use of the website, including; the copying and use of images for commercial purposes; modifying, deleting or adding content; posting comments or unauthorised links; or any similar conduct is expressly prohibited. ‘The Vintage Paint Store’ reserves the right to initiate legal action, including reporting the matter to the authorities, against any individual or group engaging in such unauthorised conduct.

Customer information is held on secure encrypted servers provided by our web-site hosting company. The Vintage Paint Store only uses customer information for the sole purposes of marketing and selling products. We may contact you to update you with new products or information about our range. If you do not wish us to contact you in this way you should notify us at: info@thevintagepaintstore.com.

The Vintage Paint Store does not provide personal information to any third parties whether for commercial, marketing or any other reason. The only exception to this is when we may be instructed to do so, by order of a Court; or to prevent fraud or other suspected crime. The Vintage Piant Store do not retain any credit card information.

Delivery Policy

At The Vintage Paint Store we understand the importance of getting your order to you as quickly as possible and at as fair a price as possible. Therefore, we try to only sell items that we have in stock and aim to dispatch your order within 1-2 working days of receiving cleared payment.

However, on some pieces of furniture delivery may be 2-4 weeks. Please contact us for a delivery date prior to placing your order.

For orders under £100 packing and postage is charged at a flat rate of £4.95 per order for the UK mainland and £9.95 for Scottish Highlands and Islands.

Delivery is FREE for all orders over £100 to the UK mainland.

Most items are posted out with the Royal Mail on a Second Class servcie and should be with you in 2-4 days. Larger orders are sent with our courier company, My Hermes, on a 2-4 day service. If you have a 'safe place' for My Hermes to leave your order should you not be in when your order is delivered please email us details of your 'safe place' to pass onto our couriers.

Delivery of orders will be made to the address shown on your order form. It is important that this address is accurate.

For express deliveries another courier company, such as UPS, may be used.

The Vintage Paint Store cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control, which may result in the delay of your order, such as adverse weather conditions, industrial action etc.

If your goods fail to arrive within 10 working days please contact us via telephone on 07552 936852 or email us at info@thevintagepaintstore.com.

You will have been advised during the order process if an item is, unfortunately, out of stock and we will try to dispatch such an item as soon as possible. If after 21 days we are still unable to do so we will contact you and ask if you wish to continue with the order or have your money refunded.

Where possible we will re-use packaging materials so if your order arrives in packaging that looks a little worn it would have been used before. If it is important for your order to arrive in new packaging please contact us.

Please Note: Our website will only accept orders for delivery within the UK. If you are interested in buying from outside of the UK, please contact us for a delivery cost via email: info@thevintagepaintstore.com.
